​The sharp social criticism and provocative humour of Joukko Turkka’s “Connecting People”, staged in 2001 at the Von Krahl Theatre, earned him wide audience acclaim. The fact that pressure from theatrical circles in Finland prevented the play from being dramatised in the author’s homeland, only added to its appeal.
